Pencil Box

This project was a combination of manual and digital production techniques. Students looked at a variety of Bauhaus designs before designing their own lid that could be digitised and laser cut. As part of the process, they learnt about the material properties of acrylic and timber, and the application of various characteristics to materials using computer aided manufacture. This resulted in a hand-crafted timber pencil box with a laser cut lid.
