‘Rotten Reflection’

Short film – 7:28 minutes

I intended to make a psychological thriller short film where a young teenage girl called Fae turns up at a friend's party to find a rather deranged surprise. The purpose of my short film was to engage, frighten and entertain my audience. I wanted my audience to reconsider the actions of the protagonist as it is not explicitly shown if she really killed her parents or not. Through the circular narrative I can influence their attitudes towards the plot and the unexpected ending; this will significantly engage my audience as they are intrigued in the protagonist's life as they feel empathetic towards her by demonstrating her struggles with health.
