Students were given the theme of contrast and the opportunity to explore their own choice of subject matter and artform to address this theme. As preparation for the artmaking process in Units 3 and 4, students completed statements of intention exploring concepts and potential imagery and work plans to help with their time management.

Climate change series
Photography
Students considered what ideas about the Global Goals of Climate Change and environmental Sustainability meant to them. They made a series of photographs that addressed aspects of these issues, turning global concepts into a visual and accessible representation.

Students were inspired by Scottish artist Andy Goldsworthy’s environmental and ephemeral artworks. Students made their own environmental sculptures and installations whilst working at home and photographed them before they were incorporated or absorbed back into the environment.
