In response to my theme and working in response to the female form as my subject matter, I chose Potential Direction 1 from Unit 3 as the basis for my finished artwork. I originally wanted my subject to be a teenage girl aged around 18-19 to link my theme to the most accurate age group, as after doing research I found that this age gap was most affected by the toxicity of social media. However due to the lockdown of COVID 19, I had to substitute my model for a younger subject in the 13-14 age bracket. I was able to still execute the final photos just how I imagined and I used this potential direction to drive my final result. I explored this through the idea of creating an image which gave my audience aesthetic qualities to feel slightly uncomfortable, disturbed or a sense of confusion. I took this idea from my potential direction and further enhanced this concept in my final photos.
