SAT Folio and Product
The Fallingwater side table is a bespoke design inspired by the home Fallingwater designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935, and stack stone walls. It is predominately made from Tasmanian Oak, glass and other timbers such as Walnut, Vic Ash, Red Gum, Maple, Radiata Pine and Jarrah, as seen in the central ‘stack stone’ style design feature. The design reflects the continuity of rivers and modernist furniture. These aspects can be seen in the waterfall ‘stack stone’ style central design feature, layered design and the use of mitred and dowelled joints. The side table has focused on the natural characteristics of the materials, like the unique grains and colours to make the design open and free flowing. With the input from the end users, the inspiration for the design was to act as a centre piece for their living room as they wanted the table to be unique and not massed produced.
