Dementia Aide

Dementia Aide is a communicative tool designed for patients with Dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, that aims to bridge the gap in communication between dementia patients, their loved ones, and other key people. The product allows loved ones to call the patient and send them reminders through the interface, controlled by the ergonomically placed buttons. It also allows the patient to call their loved ones through picture associated contacts which can help lessen the struggle to recognize key people. The body of the unit was constructed through the kerfing process to achieve the curved corners, and mitre joins were also used to create a seamless and professional finish. Dementia Aide is made from high quality walnut veneer, ply-wood and electronic components with a glass LED screen, LED lights and polycarbonate buttons finished with Vinyl Decals.
