The Literacy Aid a set of development boxes to help young children progress in their ability to handwrite. Textures and materials are used to create visual appeal for the children, as well as build the fine motor skills required to handwrite and understand the correct techniques for constructing each letter. An electrical system has been installed on the interior of the second box to provide the children with a sense of satisfaction and achievement upon the completion of each letter on the box. Each panel is laser cut and mitered to ensure a sealed fit is achieved, thus providing the product with a refined finish. Poor handwriting development is an issue that affects many children, some unknowingly, and through the use of the Literacy Aid these issues with constructing letters and the fine motor skills required to handwrite can be avoided.
